Conditions of adoptation

Due to the imposition of an epidemiological emergency, the possibilities for adoption are also changing. Adoption is still possible at our Foundation, however, due to the situation, we ask those who wish to adopt to consider even more carefully whether a dog or kitten can really fit into their lives. Consider whether you can provide care for the animal even if stricter measures (curfew) are taken or if, for any reason, you are placed under quarantine.

If you find an animal based on the photo and description whom you are interested in, please fill in the adoption questionnaire without printing and send us the adoption questionnaire.

After receiving the questionnaire, we will be looking for you, depending on the number of applications and the number of questionnaires to be processed, they can take from 1-2 days to a week. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Before adoption, we ask for at least 2 visits, when you get acquainted with the animal to be adopted, they can be taken home for the 3rd time. The minimum period of rotation is minimum 3 days, maximum 2 weeks, if the individuality of the animal does not wish to have a longer visiting time. We are not able to detain any animal for more than 2 weeks, so please submit your application to us only AFTER travelling or moving!

Dogs up to the age of 6 months receive the following care at the Foundation: external and internal parasite removal, vaccination against infectious diseases, microchip implantation, over 6 months of age: external and internal parasite removal, vaccination against infectious diseases, microchip implantation, neutering, dirofilaria test. In order to provide similar care to animals coming to the Foundation in the future, we ask you to contribute to the further operation of the system by offering at least HUF 18,000 for dogs under the age of 6 months and HUF 20,000 for dogs over 6 months of age.

Cats receive the following care at the Foundation: under the age of 6 months: external and internal parasite removal, at least two vaccinations against infectious diseases, microchip implantation, over 6 months of age: external and internal parasite removal, at least two vaccinations against infectious diseases, microchip implantation, neutering, screening tests for infectious diseases (FeLV, FIV, FIP). In order to provide similar care to animals coming to the Foundation in the future, we ask that you to contribute at least HUF 10,000 for cats under 6 months of age and HUF 12,000 for cats over 6 months of age.

Please arrive WITH FAMILY MEMBERS ONLY for the agreed time!! You can't come with friends or neighbors! Only those living in the same household as the animal can come for the prearranged visit! In this case, too, a maximum of 2-3 family members at a time. In order to give each family member, the opportunity to get acquainted with the selected animal, family members who were not present at the first visit can come on the second visit. Please wear masks and gloves if possible, upon entering the Animal Island. A maximum of 2 people can stay in the reception area at the same time! We ask you to comply with the above rules in order to protect our employees, animals and themselves! WHAT WE RECOMMEND CONSIDERING AND CONSIDER BEFORE SEEKING ADOPTION:

Please think carefully before making a final decision, make sure you are ready for the arrival of a new partner! Although there may be more free time due to the current situation, many things important for the dog are limited in availability. It is not possible to take him to dog school and meeting his breeds is also very limited, which is an important part of proper socialization. Separation anxiety can develop more easily if we spend all our time with their new favorite now, and then suddenly we must get back to the day, work, school, other activities. You must be able to prepare for this period right now. If you have any questions about the above things, please do not hesitate to contact us. Getting to know and adopting a dog is possible from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 on the animal island (1046 Budapest, Ocean Trencher st. 33.) at a prearranged time.

After the adoption of the animal, all the tasks, responsibilities and costs of keeping the animal are borne solely by the adopter. It is advisable to think about whether you can take on these obligations. Wherever the new four-legged family member gets to us, the most important thing is to choose the partner that best adapts to our living conditions and best suits our lifestyle!
